The Town has two facilities available for hire: The Community Cultural House, on top of the hill, and the Recreation Centre, opposite the Fire Hall.

Both have licensed bars and a capacity for 150 users (or 90, if tables and chairs are used).  Both buildings are accessible. The Recreation Centre has a kitchen and is the more suitable of the two venues for family gatherings, showers and children’s birthday parties. If you would like under-19s at your event (even if you do not require a bar), please book at least two weeks in advance so that we can obtain the appropriate permission to have minors on our licensed premises.

The Community Cultural House has a raised performance stage, and sound and lighting equipment, making it more suitable for formal and business gatherings and performances.
